Panetta said of Cheney's remarks: "It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point. I think that's dangerous politics."Liberals are so damn predictable. Panetta has no problem making this embarrassing jump because this is exactly how the Liberal mindset operates. It is an elitist metality that can't process the possibility that their assumption or opinion is wrong. Therefore, they are perfectly willing to suffer extreme hardship and loss to prove their point.
Asked if he agreed with Panetta, Vice President Joe Biden told NBC's Meet the Press that he wouldn't question the motive behind Cheney's criticism.
"I think Dick Cheney's judgment about how to secure America is faulty," Biden said. "I think our judgment is correct."
The best example I can think of right now is the Iraq War. Months after it had been proven that the Iraq War was won, most Liberals (including our President and the Liberal head of the Senate) were stating otherwise. Then, when it became apparent that their previous position on the Iraq War was incorrect, they stated (our President again) that EVERYONE WAS INCORRECT IN THINKING IT COULDN'T BE WON.
These folks project too damn much, and it is rather amusing.
Concerning Panetta's comments. Think about this. He makes the comments in an issue of the New Yorker that isn't even on the shelves for another week, and Meet the "DePressed" is already asking VP Biden to comment. Liberal CIA Chief...Liberal Media...and Joe the Idiot (who remarkably didn't think it was worth commenting on).
Cheney just spent a good portion of his reputation and his health making the hard decisions that would not necessarily make him well liked. He did this to keep the USA and our allies safer. Panetta could never understand this and also can't understand the concept of self-sacrifice because it would get well in the way of personal goals. But, most importantly, he could never understand the concept of doing what is right above a warped ideology or what the polls were telling him.
