Lenin and Earth Day...perfect together...

Not many folks are aware that Vladimer Lenin started his public career as one of the Munchkins in the original stage production of "The Wizard of Oz."

He was born this day, April 22, 1870. But, at my house, we don't celebrate his birth. We celebrate his death of January 24, 1924.

To clarify, we celebrate the day that he was firmly planted in the ground to satisfy worms not beholden to a sophisticated palet. His birth, however, serves as Earth Day to the fellow denizen. Plant a tree for Lenin...or just toss a little excrement around Lenin Mausoleum in Red Square. It will save the world...you know.
