*Heh*...Biden is in Israel flexing his Vice Presidential muscles trying to give the impression that the President he represents is interested in a peace initiative between Israel and the Palestinians. Benjamin Netanyahu used the occasion to announce that Israel will build a further 1,600 housing units in a Jewish settlement in occupied East Jerusalem.

What was Biden's response?

After the settlements announcement, Mr Biden arrived 90 minutes late for dinner with Mr Netanyahu.

Netanyahu and the crew probably got a kick out of this. The only ones inconvenienced were, likely, those preparing the meal.

Incidentally, this is the same "hardline" diplomacy used by the White House in dealing with the jack-assery presented by the Iranians and their obsession with securing nuclear capability. The current administration is, obviously, consistently inept across the board.

Joe the gaffe machine makes a definitive statement calling our relationship with Israel "unshakable." Well...Israelis....RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!

Taken in context...there is a reason for the inquiries...

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN complains that he is being driven crazy because so many people are betting on America’s demise. Reports of it are not just exaggerated; they are, he insists, ridiculous. Like President Obama, he will not accept “second place” for the United States. Despite the present crippling budget deficit and the crushing burden of projected debt, he denies that the country is destined to fulfill a “prophecy that we are going to be a great nation that has failed because we lost control of our economy and overextended.”

Gosh...Joe...name the last Vice President or President of the United States that had so many inquiries from everyday citizens on this issue.

Biden to address Sharpton group's convention

NEW YORK (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden is the featured speaker on a day devoted to education equality at the annual convention of the Rev. Al Sharpton's civil rights group.

Rachel Nordlinger, a spokeswoman for National Action Network, says Biden is expected to touch on voter rights and the economy as well as education reform.

Appeasers and Apologists in control...

“This much is clear: we will be willing to talk,” Biden said at the Munich Security Conference today. Iran has “a very clear choice: to continue down the current course and there will be continued pressure and isolation. Abandon the illicit nuclear program and your support for terrorism, and there will be meaningful incentives.”

Continued "pressure and isolation" gets the same eye roll out of me that I save for the United Nations when they issue a "strongly worded statement." It means nothing to me...and even less to Iran. In fact, such rhetoric only fuels the Theocratic control.

I rather someone make an off the cuff remark like:

"You know...I'm told that sand will fuse to glass anywhere between 1,022 and 1,472 degrees Fahrenheit. How about that?" Or... "We all know how bad the housing market is right now...even in Iran. That being said, I sure wouldn't build a new house just north of the Straits of Hormuz. No sir...that would be a bad long term investment."

Simply put…offering “meaningful incentives” to a country whose mantra is “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” is akin to paying off a ransom in an overt extortion attempt. Although, I suppose that all depends on your definition of “meaningful incentives.”

My definition does not include candy and gum.
