WASHINGTON — The budget President Obama unveils Thursday sets aside $634 billion over 10 years, a big step toward extending health coverage to 46 million uninsured and subsidizing premiums for others who have insurance.

The money would come equally from tax increases on people making more than $250,000 a year and cuts in government payments to health providers, insurers, drug companies and others.

Great!!! (that's sarcasm, folks).

Let's make it a prerequisite that anyone taking advantage of this free insurance first give up all large screen TV's, flat screen TV's, unhealthy snacks, adult libations, cigarettes, video games, dvd's, CD's, ipods, designer clothes, $100 sneakers, and any other non-essential part of their lives to be sold at auction to assist the taxpayers who will get socked with the price tag (that's NOT sarcasm, folks).

It is my personal opinion that a good portion of these "uninsured" remain so because they have no idea how to set priorities. Of course, 45% of these folks shouldn't be here in the first place.

Broken down by age, 18 - 24 years old - 29.3% of the 47 million.

25 - 35 years old - 26.9% of the 47 million.

Broken down by salary, $75,000 or more per year - 8.5% of the 47 million.
