QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I already have two articles that I wrote in prison, and I'm waiting to post them." ---Raja Petra Kamarudin
The above comes from a Malaysian blogger who was thrown into prison based on that county's "Internal Security Act."
Raja Petra, 58, has been critical of Najib Razak, the deputy prime minister who is set to rise to the post of prime minister early next year. Among other accusations, Raja Petra issued a sworn statement that Najib's wife was present at the killing of a Mongolian woman who was the mistress of one of Najib's aides.
Here's my question? How different is:
THIS "Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad during the presidential campaign."
FROM
THIS "In explaining his detention, the government contended that Raja Petra made comments that insulted Muslims and the Prophet Muhammad. He was also accused of posting articles that were defamatory toward leaders and incited hatred against the government."
Petra's blog is located at (http://mt.m2day.org)...but as of yesterday, his wife had hidden his laptop. Although, per the IHT article, he vows to be up and posting again within 24 hours.
